SECOND INTERNATIONAL MEETING ON CRIME OBSERVATORIES 19th- 20th MARCH 2009, SANTIAGO, CHILE
Chile’s Ministry of Interior is pleased to invite you to the second international meeting on crime observatories. This meeting, co-organised by the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime (ICPC) the National Observatory of Delinquency Department (OND) and the National Institute of Higher Studies in Security (INHES), will take place on 19th and 20th March 2009 in Santiago, Chile. A reception for participants is planned for 18th March 2009.
The growing interest of governments, international organisations and role-players in prevention in the development of observation tools suggests an urgent need to expand our knowledge on the matter. To follow up the first meeting, which concerned the main reasons for creating an observatory, this second international meeting will focus more specifically on the production of measurable results.
We will announce further information on the precise location of the meeting, as well as the programme in the near future.
