Mark May 4 - 6, 2026 in your calendars!
The Alberta Community Crime Prevention Association's (ACCPA) annual conference is happening May 4 - 6, 2026 in Calgary!
Our theme for our 2026 conference is “United for Change: Strengthening Partnerships for Long-Term Community Safety and
we’re busy putting together a program that addresses community safety issues for delegates in Alberta communities, in these rapidly changing times.
The Planning Committee is driven to seek out dynamic speakers who understand the various avenues that lead to safe, healthy and family-friendly communities. This conference is the highlight of the year for us, and we work hard to ensure delegates go home with something they can implement and tailor in their communities, whether it’s an urban or small town Alberta. The committee also looks to ensure our delegates enjoy insightful and relevant information from the presentations.
It is also a great opportunity to network and connect with the many diverse attendees.
ACCPA membership comprises urban, rural, remote rural, indigenous, Metis Settlement and diverse cultures as well as representation from law enforcement, municipalities, agencies, government agencies, and community groups. As in past the annual conference will feature two streams of presentations that will be of interest to all who attend.
We look forward to seeing you in Calgary in May!
Orren Ford
President, Alberta Community Crime Prevention Association

"The only word I have is "Triumph". I have been to a number of conferences in my day, and that was by far one of the best!! Bravo to you and the ACCPA team (pls send this along to Corinna). The speakers, the sessions, the flow, the logistics ... It was all fantastic! Carrie (my Crime Stoppers colleague) and I are still reeling with information and ideas; plans and possibilities. Thank you so very much for this incredible opportunity and I can't wait until ACCPA 2026!" ~~~ Derek Bechthold Executive Director AB Crime Stoppers
"I was grateful to be given the opportunity to do a presentation at the Alberta Community Crime Prevention Association annual conference this year. The conference this year was focused on building bridges by uniting communities for empowerment and safety. ACCPA has over thirty years of history in helping communities through education and crime prevention awareness" ~~~ Christian Stenner Keynote presenter May 7th
"Last month, I delivered a plenary presentation at the Alberta Community Crime Prevention Association Conference in Edmonton where I spoke on a critical and growing concern: the link between the surge in newcomer youth arrivals, structural service gaps, and the increasing overrepresentation of racialized youth in Alberta’s justice system. Thank you to the organizers for creating space for these vital conversations. A special thank you to those who contributed to the research for this presentation" ~~~ Noel Bahliby Director, Youth Services at Centre for Newcomers
